The fourth and fifth grade teachers received accolades from their principal, assistant principal, and staff for their outstanding professional development workshop held on September 28th 2009. The fourth grade team presented on "Technological Resources Available in Today's Classroom". The activities that were presented included interactive PowerPoints, web videos that relates directly to our daily curriculum, websites that support student growth and learning, and a brief demonstration of the revolutionary CPS system. The PD was informative as well as engaging. The fifth grade team presented a PD on "Effective Descriptive Writing Strategies". Mrs. Bolden and Rev. Kimble did an exceptional job by modeling what a Level IV paper should look like and providing a hands-on writing activity that had the entire staff lost for words. Just check out the picture of Rev.
