It's a Knock Out!
Physical Education coaches Nickolas Howard and Alberta Caswell have taken exercising to another level. This school year our students are exercising virtually through the use of the Nintendo Wii gaming system. This interactive system allows the students to participate in sports that they may not have ordinarily been exposed to for various reasons-including lack of equipment, space, and time constraints. Those problems have easily been eliminated by integrating technology into the physical education curriculum. Our students are now able to enjoy and understand the fundamental rules of bowling, tennis, baseball, golf, and boxing. The students at Hemphill are fortunate to have two P.E. coaches who understands the importance of implementing technology into all subject areas. Because of their creativity and dedication to student learning our children are receiving a hands-on work out during physical education.
